Event Information:

The John Muir Award is a nationally recognised environmental award scheme for people of all backgrounds – groups, families, individuals. It’s non-competitive, inclusive and accessible.  It’s easy to take part and free to use.  This workshop will give you an overview of the Award processes and a taster of the four challenges at the heart of the John Muir Award as well as answering your questions about how you can use it in your settings.

Attending training is not a requirement to be able to run the John Muir Award but it is organised periodically at locations around the UK in addition to information and resources available online. The training helps leaders to find out more about the ethos of the Award and practicalities of delivering it. Courses offer a complementary, thorough introduction, with opportunities to network with others interested in running the Award, and to further develop skills and confidence.
